The trial of a 22-year-old accused of attempted murder has been postponed till May 4, at 9am, due to the court’s workload.

The defendant appeared before the Larnaca criminal court on Wednesday under tight security.

At a prior hearing, he pleaded not guilty to nine charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

The 22-year-old was arrested on November 17, 2025, after he allegedly confessed to attempting an attack on another individual.

Police seized a 9mm pistol, ammunition, two masks and four mobile phones during a search of his home.

Videos from his phone showed him tracking the victim after the attempted attack, recording locations and making voice notes.

The attempted murder took place shortly after 11am on July 31, 2025, as the businessman cycled from Dromolaxia industrial area to Krasa area.

No injuries were reported.
