Cyprus-based gaming investor GEM Capital has reached a global industry milestone, with its portfolio of upcoming titles surpassing five million Steam wishlists, the highest combined total of any gaming investment firm.
The milestone highlights Cyprus’ growing presence in the global gaming investment sector, with the firm’s portfolio now featuring five titles ranked among the 150 most wishlisted games on Steam.
Among the titles currently appearing in Steam’s top 150 are Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era ranked at number 11 and ILL ranked at number 17, placing both games among the twenty most wishlisted titles on the platform.
Other projects in the top rankings include Replaced at number 31, Atomic Heart 2 at number 100, and The CUBE at number 137.
Together with additional titles currently in development, the company said the overall portfolio has now accumulated more than 5 million wishlists on Steam.

These additional projects include The Eternal Life of Goldman, Hollywood Animal and Enginefall, which are also part of the company’s expanding games portfolio.
The company explained that Steam wishlist totals are widely monitored across the games industry as an early signal of audience interest before a title’s official launch.
According to the firm, wishlist figures provide a direct indication of player anticipation, particularly for major upcoming releases backed by investors and development studios.
“We’re genuinely excited to see how strongly players are responding to these games,” said GEM Capital managing director Kirill Gurskiy.
“Wishlists are one of the most direct ways players show what they’re waiting for, and reaching five million across the portfolio is a great moment for the teams building these projects,” Gurskiy added.
The company pointed out that several of the titles contributing to the milestone remain in active development, with launches expected over the coming years.
Founded as a global gaming investment firm, GEM Capital has become one of the most active investors in the sector worldwide.

The firm also mentioned that it has been named Best Investor in Europe and received nominations for Investor of the Year at the 2024 and 2025 MENA Games Industry Awards.
With a portfolio of more than 25 companies, the investor stated it is among the most active gaming investors globally.
Companies within its portfolio include AppMagic, Mundfish, Unfrozen, Deus Craft and Sad Cat Studios.
Some of these studios are responsible for well-known titles such as Atomic Heart, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, Grand Hotel Mania and Replaced.
The company said the latest milestone reflects strong global player interest in several upcoming games currently under development within its investment portfolio.
