The met department has issued a warning for isolated strong winds expected between 11am and 11pm on Friday.

According to the warning, strong, isolated storms are expected to affect the island, particularly in the west and south.

Locally, the intensity of the rain is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour, and hail is also expected during the storms.
