Digital Vortex unveils Salvation Denied project
Nicosia-based publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment, part of Utmost Games, announced on Wednesday a collaboration with indie developer Firevolt on the upcoming game Salvation Denied.
The title has been described as a chaotic, comedic physics based co-op building game, offering a unique multiplayer experience.
A time limited open playtest on Steam has been launched for one week, allowing players to try the game ahead of its full release.
The full release is planned for autumn 2026 on PC via Steam, followed by a launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In Salvation Denied, players take on the role of teams of up to four construction robots, working together under pressure.
The gameplay revolves around racing against time to build towering structures on a hostile planet with extreme conditions.
As structures grow taller, they become increasingly exposed to meteor showers and other environmental threats, requiring constant adaptation.
Players must balance building, repairing and avoiding obstacles, while responding to incoming dangers.
The game features the use of massive construction machinery and gravity bending gadgets, enabling players to move materials and stabilise structures.
It also introduces mechanics allowing players to reposition each other, creating opportunities for slapstick style interactions and chaotic gameplay.
A proximity voice chat system is included, meaning players can hear each other depending on their in game distance and volume levels.
“In space, you CAN hear your friends scream,” the developers state, highlighting the game’s humorous tone.
“I’m proud that Salvation Denied is now live, and I hope many gamers will enjoy creative building with friends,” said Creative Director at Firevolt Ajven Pabiarzhyn.
“Collaborating with Digital Vortex has been a fantastic experience, and their support helped bring the game to life,” he added.
“We’re excited to welcome Salvation Denied to the Digital Vortex Entertainment portfolio,” said CEO of Digital Vortex Entertainment Alex Izotov.
“It’s a bold, fun, and deeply team driven game, and we can’t wait for players to experience it in the playtest,” he continued.
The addition of the game further expands Digital Vortex Entertainment’s portfolio of titles.
The publisher has also recently added games such as Bylina and DREADMOOR, strengthening its presence in the gaming market.
