A fire broke out in the early hours of Monday at an abandoned building in Linopetra, Limassol.
The fire service said it received a call at 3.52 am reporting a blaze in a pile of waste materials, including wooden pallets and tyres, inside the building.
Crews from the Ayios Nikolaos fire station responded and brought the fire under control by 4.34 am. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said arson has not been ruled out, with investigations ongoing into the cause of the blaze.
Meanwhile, the fire service said it responded to 242 calls between March 29 and April 5, including 149 fires and 93 special service incidents.
In the 24 hours to 6 am on Monday, crews handled 45 calls, including 24 fires, 16 special service cases and five false alarms.
