The Limassol criminal court sentenced two men, aged 62 and 47, to 22 and 20 years in prison, after finding them guilty of the illegal possession of over 100kg of drugs.

The two men had been arrested on September 23, 2025, following a joint operation by the drug squad and the customs department.

The case opened when customs agents at Limassol port detected suspicious items inside a container arriving from Thessaloniki, Greece.

They found 97.36kg of cannabis and 5.3kg of cocaine hidden inside inflatable toys.
