A person was taken to Larnaca general hospital on Thursday after falling from a height of approximately two metres at an under-construction wooden two-storey house, according to fire brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis.

In a post on X, Kettis said the fire service responded at 12.16pm following a call from ambulance services requesting assistance for a rescue in Larnaca.

Firefighters used ropes and a stretcher to transfer the injured individual from the second floor to the ground level, where they were handed over to ambulance crews and subsequently transported to the accident and emergency department of Larnaca general hospital.
