On a warm Saturday in Manhattan’s Financial District, the energy of Cyprus’ most talked-about fitness festival met the fast-paced rhythm of New York City. Neolea x Heatwave: Sweat & Connect brought together movement, community and a shared appetite for high-performance living—right in the heart of FiDi.
The event marked a special crossover moment, introducing the Neolea Network to the pulse of Heatwave. What unfolded was more than just a workout, it was a curated experience designed to connect like-minded individuals through sweat, sound and social energy.

At the centre of it all was a high-intensity HIIT session led by Heatwave founder Connie Christofi. The class carried a personal edge, echoing her London roots where similar sessions once formed a monthly ritual when she first started her first brand One Shot Boxing.
As she stated: “This was a complete throwback to the classes I used to teach at Fabletics on Regent Street, and I realised just how much I missed it. It’s the more intimate events that truly allow me to connect with my audience and this is definitely something I want to do more of.” It seemed like that same London spirit: raw, energising and community-driven translated seamlessly to New York City.
Adding depth to the experience, Connie brings not just event vision, but technical expertise, which allows her to truly set up a festival and fitness experiences like the one in New York. As mentioned on all social media platforms, she holds a Level 2 & 3 Personal Training qualification alongside a certification in Boxercise. The session reflected this blend: structured yet electric, disciplined yet fun.

Beyond the workout, the event was elevated by a strong lineup of sponsors—Sourmilk, One Shot, DIVINITY and CP Herbalist—each contributing to the overall aesthetic and energy of the day. From performance-driven refreshments to brand-led moments, the collaborations helped shape a well-rounded, lifestyle-focused experience.
But this was just the beginning. The FiDi event officially marks the launch of an ongoing partnership between Neolea Network and Heatwave, setting the tone for future collaborations that will continue to bridge cities, communities, and cultures through fitness and connection. “The Neolea girls, Cleopatra and Adriana are a true example of people I want to be working with. Hard working, creative go getters that align and grow together,” Connie says.

Connie Christofi flew into New York for a whirlwind 48-hour trip that packed in far more than just the Neolea x Heatwave event. Alongside hosting the FiDi workout, she connected with fellow Greek-rooted fitness personalities for a feature on Everyday Endorphins by Stella Stephanopoulos, spotlighting their predictions on the health & fitness industry as well as a Q&A on her endorphins.
In between, she also organised two fast-paced photoshoots, one where she officially launched this year’s Heatwave merchandise in the city. She used different models with both Greek and Cypriot roots and put them in subways, on crosswalks and in-front of pretzel trucks for a real NYC aesthetic. Then for the other shoot she teamed up with Cypriot martial arts master & photographer Anthony Tellalis who spotlighted her latest collaboration with DIVINITY Clothing in the blurry lights of China Town by night. Anthony’s shooting style is distinctive and he’a known for specialising in movement, martial arts and creative control.
Amongst all this she still found time to dive into some of New York’s most intense training sessions, including Barry’s Bootcamp and AARMY. As Connie says: “There’s no question of ‘if I’m going to workout’, the question is ‘where I’m going to workout!’.” Even on a tight schedule, she doesn’t slow down, she brings the heat.
She is now back in Cyprus for the final stretch before the big event taking place from April 25-26, 2026 at Limassol’s Molos Promenade. After what we’ve seen she can do half way across the world – let’s see what’s in store when she’s on home ground.
