A 27-year-old woman from Colombia has been identified as the second victim found in the rubble of a building that collapsed in Limassol’s Yermasoyia on April 11.

Colombian press named the victim as Leonella Aleman Morales, who had been declared missing by her family after they lost contact with her.

The last ping from Morales’ mobile phone had been pinpointed at the collapsed building.

The family was informed of her death by the Colombian honorary consulate in Cyprus following the identification of her body.

The other victim is 27-year-old Dex from Nigeria.

The building that partially collapsed had already been declared dangerous in March, with owners warned to evacuate and carry out repairs, according to the president of the Limassol district government (EOA) Yiannis Tsouloftas.

Tsouloftas said the property had been inspected on February 19 and was officially classified as dangerous on March 10.
