EKO Cyprus Limited is running its “Bringing Colour to Hope” campaign for the 11th consecutive year, in support of the Elpida Foundation and children with cancer and leukaemia.
The campaign was presented at a press conference held on April 23, 2026, at the premises of the Elpida Foundation, in the presence of Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides, Foundation President Dr Loizos Loizou, as well as members of the Foundation’s scientific staff.
The “Bringing Colour to Hope” campaign will run until the first week of June, mobilising the entire network of EKO Cyprus Limited service stations across Cyprus. Through the daily service of customers, every refuelling is transformed into an act of giving, as €0.01 per litre of fuel is allocated to support the Foundation. The total amount expected to be raised this year is estimated to exceed €45,000.
The proceeds will be used to fund the programmes and services of the Elpida Foundation for children with cancer and leukaemia in Cyprus, contributing to the enhancement of care and support services, the training of medical and nursing staff, financial assistance to families, as well as the provision of scholarships to children who have overcome the illness and are pursuing their studies.
Over the past 11 years, the campaign has supported more than 500 children and their families, highlighting its enduring value and meaningful social impact.

At the same time, within the framework of its collaboration with EKO Cyprus Limited, the Elpida Foundation is developing new specialised therapeutic recreation programmes. These include structured interventions such as experiential art and music workshops, activities aimed at strengthening family relationships and support groups for parents and children, with the objective of enhancing children’s emotional resilience and supporting their families.
EKO Cyprus Limited is actively supporting the implementation of these programmes by covering all associated costs, thereby contributing to the creation of positive experiences and alleviating the burden on children and their families during a particularly demanding period of their lives.
In his address, Health Minister Charalambides, stated: “We recognise the substantial contribution of EKO Cyprus Limited to the Elpida Foundation, a collaboration that meaningfully strengthens, through important Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, the work of supporting children battling cancer and leukaemia. Through the provision of specialised services, care and support, the Elpida Foundation, which has more than thirty years of contribution in Cyprus, covers most areas of care for children in need. At the same time, it offers hope and prospects both in Cyprus and in countries with limited resources, promoting equal access to healthcare and safeguarding the dignity of every child.”
In his own statement, EKO Cyprus Limited CEO George Gregoras, underlined: “Our collaboration with the Elpida Foundation represents a longstanding commitment for us. Through the ‘Bringing Colour to Hope’ campaign, we seek to make a meaningful contribution to supporting children and their families, demonstrating that solidarity can be expressed through simple, everyday actions. The public’s response over the years gives us the strength to continue with consistency and responsibility.”

Subsequently, Elpida Foundation President Dr Loizou, emphasised during his presentation, that: “Psychological support is a fundamental pillar in addressing childhood cancer. Through therapeutic recreation, the emotional resilience of children and their families is substantially strengthened. With the support of EKO Cyprus Limited, we are proceeding with the implementation of a new programme in Cyprus, aimed at providing comprehensive psychosocial support to children fighting cancer and leukaemia.”
EKO Cyprus Limited invites the public to participate actively in the “Bringing Colour to Hope” campaign, supporting a collective effort that has now become an established institution and highlights the power of social contribution.
