A 44-year-old man was on Tuesday sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of rape by the Paphos permanent criminal court.

The Paphos CID launched a case after a complaint was made regarding an offence committed against a woman in the Paphos district on March 21, 2023.

The case was submitted to court on March 27, 2023, once investigations were finalised.
