Tuesday will be mostly clear, with temperatures reaching 37C inland, though isolated afternoon showers cannot be ruled out in the mountains.

According to the Met Office, seasonal low pressure is affecting the region.

The day will begin mainly clear, before locally increased cloud develops in the afternoon, bringing a chance of isolated rain, mainly over mountainous areas.

Winds will initially be light and variable at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwesterly to northwesterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Along the southern coast, winds may temporarily strengthen to 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be slight.

Temperatures will rise to 37C inland, around 32C on the western coast, 35C along the remaining coastal areas and 27C in the higher mountains.

Tuesday night will remain mainly clear, with temperatures falling to around 24C inland and on the coast and 16C in the higher mountains.

Wednesday will initially be mostly clear, with locally increased cloud developing during the afternoon.

Similar conditions are expected on Thursday and Friday, although isolated showers are possible during the afternoon on both days, mainly in the mountains.

Temperatures will gradually rise slightly on Wednesday and Thursday, reaching above the seasonal average, before falling slightly on Friday.
