Part of a human skull was discovered on Wednesday at a location within the British bases in Dhekelia, according to an official statement from the bases’ police.

A member of the public spotted an object resembling a bone and alerted Dhekelia police.

Officers attended the scene and confirmed that the object was part of a human skull.

“At this stage, we have no further information regarding its origin, when or under what circumstances it was found, or how old it is,” police said.
