The cosmetics unit of the pharmaceutical services on Tuesday recommended the use of free samples instead of testers, to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Sale points of cosmetic products should not provide their customers with testers, but they can instead give them free samples if they wish to try the products “to protect public health,” it said in a written statement.
Concerning make-up products, it suggested the use of printed colour panels so that clients avoid touching the products while choosing a shade.
In addition, the testing of perfumes should be done on paper strips and not directly on the skin.
