A 32-year-old man has been arrested for driving 200 km per hour on the Nicosia – Larnaca highway on Sunday morning, police said.

The driver was caught at around 10.40am. Investigations revealed he was also driving with illegal registration plates, without a licence and without having registered the car to his ownership within the 30-day period required.

He was charged and released to appear in court at a later date.
