Police on Thursday night closed all major roads in the Troodos mountain range as they were deemed unsafe for travel due to heavy snowfall.

The Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos, and Prodromou-Troodos roads were closed to all vehicles.

Motorists using byroads in mountain areas were advised to be extra careful.
