Cyprus will be among 16 countries performing on Tuesday night at the first Eurovision semi-final.

Elena Tsangrinou will be competing with the song ‘El Diablo’ in hopes of being one of the ten countries that will qualify for the grand final which will be held on Saturday, May 22.

Bookmakers have predicted that Malta will be the first to qualify for the final, with Cyprus following in second place ahead of Ukraine, Lithuania, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Azerbaijan and Romania.

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Rotterdam, with both semi-finals and the grand-final attended by 3,500 people with negative Covid-19 tests.

With 39 participants, this year’s contest will have the smallest attendance since 2014.

By order of appearance, the countries performing at the first semi-final are:
