Defending champion Rafael Nadal recorded his 17th win in as many tour-level matches against Richard Gasquet, outclassing the Frenchman 6-0 7-5 6-2, to improve Roland Garros record to 102-2.

The Spaniard’s win over Gasquet means that for the first time in the Open era, no French men will feature in the third round of their home major.
