Ensuring every child’s equal participation in society is the responsibility of all. Guided by this message, leading figures from the country’s state and political leadership took part in the 2026 Radio Marathon. Joining forces, they raised their voices in support of an inclusive society where every child enjoys the rights and place they deserve.
At a modest yet meaningful event held at the kiosk on Stavrou Avenue in Nicosia on November 2, 2026, Takis Phidia, Chief Executive Officer of ERB CYPRUS INSURANCE HOLDINGS, and Thanasis Tsokos, Director General of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), welcomed and met with representatives of the country’s state and political leadership.
On behalf of the organisers, CEO Phidia warmly thanked those in attendance for their participation, highlighting that: “the Radio Marathon is an established institution of social solidarity, a collective effort that brings us together in pursuit of a society that gives every child an equal place, without exclusion”.
For his part, CyBC chief Tsokos noted that: “as the national public broadcaster, CyBC has consistently supported Radio Marathon, and contributes to ensuring that the message of inclusion and equal rights for every child reaches society as a whole”.
