President Nicos Anastasiades will head to Bahrain on Monday for he will meet King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa.

He will be accompanied by the ministers of foreign affairs, energy, agriculture, and tourism and the government spokesman.

The visit is part of the government’s policy to develop a network of bilateral relations with Arab Gulf countries.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding for economic and technical cooperation will be signed, in addition to an agreement for the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic passports.

Anastasiades will discuss Bahrain’s support for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as their assistance for his initiative on climate change.

The president will also outline the latest Turkish provocations towards Cyprus.

He will also visit Bahrain Economic Development Council, while the ministers will have bilateral meetings with their counterparts.
