For the fourth consecutive year, Kimonos Art Centre in Paphos is hosting a series of open-air screenings of films in its garden. From July 13 until August 13, the centre will transform into an open-air summer cinema every Wednesday and Saturday, presenting both international and local work.

This year’s programme includes films by seven of the most important directors of cinema alongside three Cypriot film evenings, one of which will include Cypriot short films. Kicking off the evenings is a screening of Petros Charalambous’ 2021 film Patchwork on Wednesday, July 13. Saturday 16 will screen Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg while After Hours by Martin Scorsese will be shown on July 20.

Next is A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick on July 23, then The Ladykillers by Ethan and Joel Cohen on July 27 and finally Senior Citizen by Marinos Kartikkis on July 30. August’s film screenings will begin with Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs on Wednesday 3 and continue with Spike Lee’s 25th Hour on Saturday 6. August 10 will feature Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, and the very last film evening will be dedicated to Cypriot short films.
