Police arrested a 30-year-old man in Nicosia for illegal drugs possession with intent to supply, the force announced on Monday.

Officers arrested the Nicosia resident around 10pm on Sunday when they intercepted his car on a district road. During the check that followed, police uncovered six nylon packages containing 50g of white powder, 20g of cannabis, a precision scale, and €1,100 in cash.

The 30-year-old was arrested and taken into custody.

The Nicosia drug squad (Ykan) is furthering the investigation.
