Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas will participate in the Munich Security Conference, which will take place from 14 to 16 February 2025.

According to a press release from the ministry, the minister will meet with his counterparts and other officials, with the aim of strengthen bilateral cooperation on defence and security issues while highlighting Cyprus’ role as a stabilising force in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In addition, talks will focus on current geopolitical challenges, hybrid threats, crisis management and strategies to enhance security in Europe and its neighbouring regions.

The Munich Security Conference is considered one of the most significant global forums for discussions and exchanges on security and defence and is attended by heads of state, state officials, representatives of international organisations, academics and experts from the private sector.
