The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) on Tuesday announced that it will continue its broad installation of smart meters in Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos and surrounding areas throughout May.

In Nicosia, smart meters will be installed in the area spanning from Stassinou Avenue to Orpheus Stadium and Paphos Gate within the walls.

Outside of the centre, devices will be installed in Yermasoyia near the Limassol-Nicosia highway spanning from the Ayios Athanasios industrial area to Ayios Tychonas

In Larnaca, EAC said it was planning to continue its installations in the Zenon and Kamares area including the south of Lyssarides avenue.

In Paralimni, works will be carried out on Kapparis avenue and the Ayia Triada roundabout, in parts of Makarios III street and the north of the old stadium.

Installations in Paphos will be carried out between Kato Pervolia Avenue, Apostolos Pavlos, Gladstonos, Nikodimos Mylonas, Evagoras Pallikaridis, Thermopylae, Fellachoglou and Aphroditis street.

EAC noted that to safely replace the meters, the electricity supply in the respective areas needed to be interrupted for a maximum of 20 minutes. The authority apologised for inconveniences caused due to the works.
