A fire that broke out at 11.16am on Thursday morning caused extensive damage to an apartment kitchen in Aglandjia. According to the fire department, no one was injured.
The Acropolis fire station responded with two fire engines and a telescopic boom vehicle to the fire.
The fire, which started on the first floor of a two-story building in Aglandjia, was brought under control by 11.40am and appears to have been caused by a forgotten cooking utensil on a lit cooking appliance.
The fire and heat caused extensive damage to the kitchen, while the smoke spread throughout the entire apartment.
