The digital assistant tool available through the gov.cy portal has answered more than 104,000 citizen queries in the six months since its launch, the research and innovation ministry said on Friday.
“Gradually, and with the addition of new topics, it is evolving into a valuable tool for everyday life -offering information, support, and making interactions with the public sector faster, simpler, and more efficient,” said Deputy Innovation Minister Nicodemos Damianou.
The deputy minister also announced that the digital assistant will now be available 24 hours a day.
In addition, the tool has been integrated into the public procurement website of the general accounting office (https://www.publicprocurement.gov.cy), replacing the previous FAQ section.
It can now assist users with questions about public tenders, contract awards, dynamic purchasing systems (eProcurement), and general procurement-related information.
Users can submit questions either in writing or via voice using the built-in voice assistant feature.
The tool uses artificial intelligence to interpret queries and retrieve relevant information, improving communication with government services.
