“Tσ̃ύκλοι, τσ̃αι χιλϊоτσ̃υκλοι” / “Cycles, in MegaHertz“, a play in the Cypriot dialect, written especially for the Faneromeni ’25 festival by director-writer Euripides Dikaios, will be performed on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Acclaimed actor Petros Yiorkatzis will bring the play to life.

The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation (BoCCF) is putting on the arts festival, which closes on September 12, 2025.

The work is a poetic, humorous journey of a surreal intellect navigating a turbulent historical moment. Tapping the riches of the local dialect, the play is inspired by the dialect’s fundamental friction with the natural environment, historical happenings and the scientific wisdom trickling through Cypriot literature, with a special exploration of the Cultural Foundation’s publications.
