Following its win of the title of European Capital of Culture 2030, Larnaka 2030 enthusiastically begins a new chapter, inviting artists, organisations and communities to a two-day co-creation conference, the Co-Creators Assembly.
This is the organisation’s first public action in this new phase, marking the transition from the bidding process to the implementation of the shared vision.
During the conference on March 28 and 29, the projects that make up the Larnaka 2030 artistic programme will be presented, as they were shaped during the bid for the title.
Participants will meet the working groups and project leaders, explore the philosophy and structure of the programme, and take part in open processes of dialogue and exchange.
With just a few weeks to go, the team extends the invitation to the event to everyone: creators, groups, organisations, citizens and communities.
The conference will not only look at the existing artistic programme but it will also create space for the next step. Creators and groups will present new ideas, meet the existing working teams, and take part in networking and collaboration processes aimed at generating new projects through collective practices.
The Co-Creators Assembly therefore opens the artistic programme to the collective imagination of the city. It creates a dynamic space for listening, collaboration and shared responsibility, where culture is not imposed from above but built together.
Registration for the conference is now open and though this first event happens in Greek, the event will be repeated in English in the near future.
