Police arrested five people on Saturday night in connection with a range of offences including theft, causing grievous bodily harm, drink-driving, driving without a licence, insurance or road tax and the illegal possession and transport of explosive materials.
Police said the arrests were made as part of coordinated overnight operations carried out across the island.
During the operations, a total of 738 drivers and passengers were stopped and checked.
In conjunction with local authorities, police also conducted 51 inspections of premises, resulting in seven reports.
Traffic checks led to 159 complaints, including 60 for speeding and 27 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said 14 cases of traffic offences are under further investigation, while 13 vehicles were impounded.
