A 22-year-old woman is in a critical condition in the Nicosia general hospital on Sunday after being involved in a road traffic collision on the road between the Larnaca district village of Delikipos and the nearby Nicosia district village of Lythrodontas on Saturday afternoon

The motorcycle upon which the woman was riding collided with a car being driven by a 45-year-old man at around 5pm on Saturday, with the police saying that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Following the collision, the woman was taken by ambulance to hospital, where it was found that she had suffered a head injury.

She was intubated and remains at the hospital’s intensive care unit.
